Andrew McLaughlan
Andrew McLaughlan is avid gamer with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science. On Discord he leads a gaming group of about 50 people. He also enjoys nature as much as technology. Enjoys hiking, camping, and rock hounding. Has also seen 3 eclipses.
Andrew followed his own path through life. He has worked hard to earn everything he has gained. He is self driven, a natural leader, and a creative problem solver. He believes in working hard and playing hard.
Andrew has used his skills to benefit his gaming life and to hone his software development skills. His gaming community looks up to him as good leader. Andrew believes that he can adapt to any programming language thanks to his work at school.
Self Driven
Andrew chose the path of Computer Science at a young age. His fascination with technology led him there. He followed his dreams by getting his Bachelor’s Degree and is currently look for software development opportunities to start his career.
Natural Leader
Andrew never considered himself a good leader until just a few years ago. Though he was given many youth leadership callings at his local church. It wasn’t until he created his little gaming community that he realized his potential as a good leader. In college, he would take on all the leadership opportunities he could his courses.
Problem Solving and Analysis
Andrew never let things get in his way even at a very young age. When he was younger, he couldn’t read as fast as most kids. In order to get around this problem he learned how to skim through text to get the most important information to improving his reading speed.
Andrew has also learned how to use the tools available to him to complete hard or complex tasks. In his gaming community, Andrew is known for his think outside the box strategies that benefit newer members. Andrew believes just because a road is as traveled less doesn’t mean its a bad road. Andrew used these skills to help his management at Merit Medical and Les Olson IT to improve their training methods.
